Young Patriots Adventure

To celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, Enchanted Storybook and Portraits invites children to become part of a magical story inspired by the early days of our nation. This special portrait experience blends childhood imagination and learning, allowing young explorers to discover a little about history while stepping into a story of their own.

During the session, children ages 5–7 are dressed in colonial-inspired clothing and guided through a dramatic lantern-lit scene inspired by the Revolutionary era. As they hold the lantern and look out into the night, they can imagine what it might have been like to live during a time when courage, curiosity, and new ideas helped shape a young country.

Our portraits are not reenactments—they are storybook moments that celebrate creativity, curiosity, and the wonder of childhood. The result is a timeless image that captures both your child’s imagination and a small piece of history.

 

Two Storybook Looks

Each child is thoughtfully styled in one of two colonial-inspired outfits, designed to bring the story to life.

The Young Commander Look
This outfit features a deep blue coat with elegant gold trim, inspired by the style of the era of George Washington. Paired with a vest and classic knee-length breeches, this look creates a striking and heroic portrait reminiscent of the young patriots who dreamed of a new nation.

The Young Patriot Look
A simpler, more rustic outfit featuring a traditional beige colonial shirt with drawstrings and knee-length breeches. This look reflects everyday life in early America and brings a natural, storybook feel to each portrait.

Both styles are designed to photograph beautifully in the warm glow of lantern light, creating timeless images filled with character and imagination.
