A LITTLE ABOUT ME
ABOUT THE ARTIST
My name is John, and I am a Northern New Jersey–based portrait artist working at the intersection of photography, narrative, and fine art.
I am drawn to the quiet power of everyday moments — the expressions, gestures, and connections that often pass unnoticed — and transforming them into thoughtfully crafted artwork meant to be lived with and cherished for generations. My work blends classical portrait sensibilities with a painterly, story-driven approach, resulting in images that feel timeless rather than tied to a particular moment or trend.
As a husband and father of two boys, I understand the significance of preserving fleeting stages of childhood and family life in a meaningful, enduring way. This perspective shapes my work deeply, informing both how I photograph and how I design each finished piece as a physical heirloom.
My studio is located in the heart of Morris County, within the Denville, New Jersey business district, where I welcome families seeking a more intentional, art-centered portrait experience. I invite you to explore the work, learn more about the process, and discover whether this approach resonates with you.
